The new Porsche Cayman has a very purposeful and beautiful design. It still resembles the roots of the outgoing model, yet in a more aggressive package. The car also takes styling queues from the 904 with its sloping roof line. The Cayman only gets better when you go for the S model with more power available when you decide to step on the gas pedal a bit more.

This video features Porsche designer, Tony Hatter, talking about the design of the mid-engined sports car. He shows how the design all starts with a pencil and paper and eventually you end up with a finished product. From the humble beginnings of a pencil drawing a new car takes form. He talks about the design queues for the new model and how the dimensions have been changed to improve looks and performance.
